Mr. P. Magnifica

Parodia magnifica or the Ball Cactus and Balloon Cactus
Hardiness Zone: 9, 10, 11
This cacti can grow up to 1 to 2 feet tall and get to a diameter of up to 1 foot. When it blooms is from Spring to Summer. It will produce yellow flowers.
For sun it needs part Sun to filtered Shade
This cacti needs well drained soil, generally dry. Especially in dormant months you'll want to water this one every week and a half (almost 2 weeks) normally, unless in bloom (every week) in dormant every 3 weeks. This is one of the slower growing cacti, so it may take several more years to see bloom.
Generally propigation is from pups.
It gets its name from the resemblance to that of a Hot Air Balloon.
What I've noticed with mine, its been puping out before I've noticed any budding, they need to be protected from frost, anything under 50 degrees farenheight can cause severe damage. (More on this species later)
